Please note that ALL foreign nationals, including American and EU passport holders, must hold a valid visa in order to travel to India. Visas must be applied for in advance at an Indian embassy or consulate. There is no provision for visa-on-arrival in India. If the primary purpose of your visit is to attend SPCOM 2012, you will need to apply for a Conference Visa.

To apply for a Conference Visa, you will need to attach with your visa application an official invitation letter from the conference organizers. If you need such an invitation, please send an email to spcom12@gmail.com with the following information:

  • Your name
  • Title of accepted paper
  • Your nationality and passport number
Detailed information about visa requirements etc. can be found here:
While the information at the Travisa website is useful, you should always check with your nearest Indian consulate/embassy for information that may be specific to your country of residence.

The visa application process should be quite straightforward in most cases. However, we strongly urge you to please apply for your visa at least six weeks in advance of your travel dates.

Please send an email to spcom12@gmail.com if you need any further information or documentation from our side to assist you with the visa application process.
